Surf Hotel Phuket sits in the heart of the Kata–Karon area — one of Phuket's most beautiful stretches of coastline. Our building is a four-floor traditional Thai structure: carved wooden gables, ornate balconies, the kind of architecture you came to Thailand to see.
Inside, the rooms are clean and modern — white walls, warm bohemian textiles, natural materials. A different world from the ornate exterior, but one that works. Air conditioning, flat-screen TV, private bathrooms throughout.

“Perfect base for exploring Phuket”
Location is excellent — Kata Beach is literally a 5-minute walk. The hotel is beautiful from the outside, very traditional Thai style. Inside the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were super helpful with everything.

“Great value boutique hotel”
Stayed 6 nights. The Superior room on the top floor was spacious and the views over Kata were lovely especially at sunset. Very quiet at night which I appreciated. Direct booking was cheaper than Booking.com.
Wi-Fi was a bit slow in my room.

Solid hotel in a great spot between Kata and Karon. Staff arranged a scooter for me and recommended some excellent local restaurants that weren't in any guide. Room was clean and the AC was powerful.

“Hidden gem in Kata”
Found this place while searching for something with more character than the big beach resorts. The traditional exterior is beautiful. Room was quiet, cool and comfortable. Would stay here again on next trip to Phuket.

Good location, good price, good hotel. Beach is very close, staff helpful, room was fine. Nothing fancy but everything worked and it was clean. Kata Beach in the morning is beautiful and this is one of the closest hotels.
Pool area could be larger.
